Active Autumn, mixing up your training in our great city
At Balance we believe that a varied training program is key to success and sustainability. And autumn in Newcastle is as good as it gets. With cooler mornings, warm days and less evening humidity training in the outdoors is a breeze. Add to that access to so many great places to replenish the body and mind, there has never been a better time.
From parks and walkways, beaches and lakes, cycle ways to skate tracks there are so many terrific places to exercise, and it doesn’t always have to be vigorous. Combine some outdoor exercise with your regular gym routine, and you quite possibly have the best balance. And that’s what its all about, right? Balance.
Many of our parks in Newcastle now have now incorporated exercise equipment along their paths and walkways, and its top notch. Encouraging greater movement, these ropes and bars and the likes allow us to combine a gentle walk with some more vigorous activity and the option of including interval training in your regime while enjoying the great outdoors.
Have you used the new functional exercise areas in the parks at Lake Macquarie or Cameron Park? We’d love you to tell us if you have seen new outdoor exercise equipment being installed in the Newcastle area.
