50% OFF MEMBERSHIP FEES:
We value your loyalty, during what is a challenging time for all, as such we will be providing our current and new members 50% off their membership fee for an interim period, which will be reviewed on a month to month basis.
As well as a 50% off membership fees MyClub members at New Lambton, Cardiff and Nelson Bay will be able to access Balance City and Mayfield for no additional cost until Balance New Lambton reopens in 2021. Membership discount does not apply to Zen Pass, Creche, Foundation, Stay Active membership and 24/7 access.

When will Balance Aquatics & Recovery areas re-open?
The Government social distancing requirements for pools and change rooms of one person per 4sqm is currently too restrictive to allow us to reopen our facilities safely at this time.
When will Balance New Lambton re-open?
The Balance team have been busy refurbishing parts of Balance New Lambton to ensure the health and safety of our members and provide a new open plan training space on two floors. Due to this work, the reopening of Balance New Lambton is anticipated to be early 2021.
Will Balance Cardiff and Nelson Bay re-open?
Keeping our members and employees safe is our number one priority. Due to the COVID-19 government imposed restrictions we have made the difficult decision to not reopen Balance Cardiff and Nelson Bay clubs. As a result of the restrictions we have had to pivot our focus and resources to three venues to ensure adequate staffing levels and hygiene practices to provide the safest possible environments for our members to train.
We understand that members may wish to cancel their membership. Please see our Help Desk team on your next visit requesting your membership cancellation. Our standard termination of contract requirements apply, please visit our terms and conditions for full details.
When will membership payments resume?
During our temporary closure all memberships were placed on an automatic freeze. To welcome our members back they will enjoy 50% off membership fees for an interim period, which will be reviewed on a month to month basis.
Full payment members will have their membership automatically extended to include the 12 weeks that we were temporarily closed.
Direct debit payments for membership will re-commence on 1 July and creche membership direct debits from 15 June.

Will trading hours remain the same under the current restrictions?
Yes. Members will be able to continue to access our clubs on the existing trading hours outlined below.
Balance City: Monday to Friday 5am - 9pm | 7am - 6pm Saturday & Sunday
Balance Mayfield: Monday to Friday 5:30am - 10pm | 7am - 6pm Saturday & Sunday

How are you managing the health and safety of employees and members?
As per the government imposed restrictions visitation to each health club will be restricted to 100 members at any one time.
Keeping our members and employees safe is our number one priority. We will continue to apply the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities. We've increased our cleaning schedules including daily deep sanitisation of venue prior to opening, installed toilet sanitiser, additional hand sanitiser and soap dispensers. Our increased focus on social distancing assistance measures includes on-ground markers, queuing systems, signage and equipment spaced at 1.5 metres, to give all members the opportunity to socially distance. We have dedicated CovidSAFE Marshals monitoring numbers and enforcing social distancing requirements.
Can you join Balance as a new member under the current restrictions?
Yes. New memberships are available on either a month to month or 12 month plan with upfront and direct debit payment options available. The below memberships are available during current government imposed restrictions for new members:

How can members assist with keeping each other safe?
In accordance with best practice guidelines we recommend all members adopt high standards of personal hygiene, including washing hands and using hand sanitiser frequently.
Members must ensure 1.5 metres social distancing between themselves and others. Members will be required to train with a towel, bring their own filled water bottle, yoga mat and boxing gloves; and avoid unnecessary contact with surfaces.
To make it easier for you to visualise the recommended safe physical distance between members, please look for the markings our team have placed on the floor. Standing on these marked areas will ensure you are separated from other members by the recommended 1.5 metres.
Members who feel unwell with cold or flu like symptoms are requested to follow advice of health authorities and avoid attending Balance health clubs.
It is important that we all stay safe by adhering to government directions and if you have not already done so, please join us in downloading the CovidSAFE app.
Is there a time limit to club visitation?
No. There is no limit to the amount of time a member can spend in-club.
Will group fitness classes still be available?
Yes. Our Group Fitness classes are available in a modified timetable.
Members are required to book for all classes. Bookings will be open 1 (one) hour ahead of each class.
Classes that commence in the first hour of trading will be a first come, first serve basis. Class participation numbers will be limited to 20 members per class to comply with restrictions.

Upon arrival, please see reception to collect your entry ticket then present this to your class instructor.
Back to back bookings aren't permitted however members are welcome to wait and if the class isn't at full capacity, they can attend.
Can I still book PT sessions?
Yes. Members can continue to book their PT sessions direct with their PT.
Will The Locker room shop be open?
No. We anticipate once our Aquatics Centre reopens the shop will also then open.
Will Reload Cafe outside of Balance Mayfield be open?
Yes, Reload Cafe at Balance Mayfield is currently open at the following times:
Mon - Fri 7:00am - 12:30pm
Sat & Sun Closed
Will Nourish Cafe inside of Balance City be open?
Nourish Cafe is closed and will not be reopening.
